Good food takes time to prepare, if you're dining in, order in advance or sit and be prepared to wait. The food is made fresh to order. MoMo, our server, is humble patient, and very patient when asking questions about the food. Our dishes were absolute heaven. The naan bread is soft and fluffy. The salty buttermilk is delightful. A must stop if you're in the area.

Food was so tasty. Tried chicken 65, tandoori chicken, fish fry, goat Chukka, fish briyani, konaseema chicken fry briyani, chicken tikka masala, naan breads, mango lassi, rose milk and Indian butter milk. Everything was so tasty and prepared fresh. As my family loved the food visited twice during our LA stay. Highly recommend

My husband and I visited Banana Leaf for dinner and had an exceptional experience. We were waiting for our family to join us, and the staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating. The food was outstanding, particularly the chilli chicken, which I couldn't get enough of. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and professional, ensuring our orders were taken promptly and served with care. Despite the restaurant's closing time being at 10 PM, they graciously allowed us to stay until the very end without any pressure to leave, letting us fully enjoy our evening. This experience was so delightful that I felt compelled to write this review upon returning home. I don't often write reviews, but the warm hospitality and delicious food at Banana Leaf truly deserve to be recognized. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

The food was excellent and service was very good. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and spiced. Please note: no beer or wine at this restaurant (would be nice though)

Had 15 people office dinner party at this location of Banana Leaf. Food was fresh and flavors were amazing. All of us enjoyed the food very much. We tried veg options as well non veg options. People were surprised by how good even jackfruit can taste if spiced and cooked correctly. Mango Daal was amazing. Service was very good too. Overall it was very good experience. Definitely a go to Indian restaurant in DTLA

Great food, great service! This place has certainly earned their stellar rating! The staff was extremely nice and accommodating, even with their limited late night menu. Especially awesome that they're open so late! We showed up around 9:30 pm to see the place nearly packed, so we knew we'd have to wait a while. We did get the last table available when we walked in, but the sheer amount of mobile, call in, and dine in orders had the staff hustling to keep up. Our order was taken after a long wait and our food after another long wait, but we didn't mind because we understood how busy they were. Part of what made the wait feel much more reasonable was the fact that the kitchen is visible and you can easily see the staff working hard to keep up with the orders. I can see that they limit the menu at late hours to help complicated orders from slowing the kitchen. The palak paneer I ordered was definitely worth the wait! It was so rich and herby and had just enough kick! Overall, this is a great late night dinner place but be ready to bear with them during rushes.

Banana Leaf LA offers a delightful experience for fans of Indian cuisine. The Dal Tadka was perfectly spiced and comforting, while the Garlic Naan was a standout with its rich flavor and perfect texture. The Shahi Paneer was exceptional, featuring a creamy, flavorful sauce that complemented the paneer beautifully. Overall, the food was delicious and well-prepared, making Banana Leaf LA a great choice for anyone craving authentic and tasty Indian dishes.
